Want a make a real difference in your community? With the Certificate III in Community Service you can become a community service and development professional. This course will give you the opportunity to develop the skills needed to provide day-to-day person centred support to people in need.
This qualification includes Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community development work, client contact and community care. Additionally, you will learn how to respond holistically to client needs. Clients may have a range of issues outside and in addition to the area of immediate focus or expertise of the worker and their organisation. The course relates to careers including Neighbourhood centre worker, Recreational activities officer and Residential support worker.
You will learn how to provide emotional and practical support and how to work with a variety of clients. This certificate is an ideal introduction into the community services sector which can also lead into a wide range of roles with real opportunities to support people in need.

On the first day of the course, you will undergo an orientation process where you will receive the information you need to start your studies. Your attendance to this orientation is compulsory.
|37 weeks’ tuition and 6 weeks’ holiday. Total 43 weeks, over four study periods of up to 11 weeks.
Delivery of 20 hours per week includes a combination of face-to-face lectures, supervised study, homework and assessment in the workplace.
